The Mucci Residence serves as an impressive example of cold-formed steel framing’s versatility. In addition to its sheer size – 14,536 square feet – this two-storey luxury custom home had a few special requirements for the building process.
The structural steel superstructure required site measurements, to ensure every step of the construction phase was seamless. The Mucci Residence also featured modern design elements and required large spans.
To accommodate the unique design flourishes and build a durable, structurally sound home, the iSPAN team used our Composite TotalJoist system for the floors. This system was specifically designed for projects like the Mucci Residence, as CTJ removes unsightly bulkheads to create a more modern and spacious interior. We also used TotalJoists for the roof.
The result was a breathtaking new residence that’s not only beautiful but will have long-lasting value and functionality.
